START DATE: Flexible (Jul-Sep) PAY: £18,000pa plus bonus TEMP OR PERM: Permanent role Nailsworth Office: 01453 832468 E: Job: Payroll Administrator ESS Employment are seeking a trainee Administrator to join our client’s established team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and exciting privately owned logistics business. You will work alongside management with training and support to ensure accurate and timely payments to all staff across the group. You will be given the opportunity to develop the role to a senior payroll level through training and development both internal and external (CIPP) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Learn how to competently manage the end to end payroll function • Ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time in line with company policy and government legislation • Effectively operate an in-house payroll system • Ensure all payroll timesheets from depots are received, checked and processed in accordance with company policy • Ensure that deadlines are adhered to and internal controls enforced • Communicate with depots to ensure all relevant paperwork is received such as starter and leaver forms, contracts of employment, absence forms and right to work in the UK documentation • Learn how to process and assist with the preparation and payment of statutory returns such as, P45, P46, P11D, RTI, CIS, court orders, pension auto enrolment, CSA payments and tax and National Insurance payments to HM Revenue and Customs KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES • Drive and determination to excel in a Payroll Profession • Ability to learn at a fast pace through self-study and tuition • Competent in the use of Excel and basic formulas • Be able to motivate oneself to work alone as well as being a strong team player • Build strong relationships with staff, management and customers to deliver optimum service levels, maintain trust and exceed expectation CREDENTIALS, QUALIFICATIONS OR EXPERIENCE • Excellent PC literacy with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems • An interest in current government budget changes and legislation changes that effect employment tax and employment law advantageous • Educated to degree level desirable • Relevant work experience in an administrative role desirable but not essential
£18,000pa plus bonus
