LOCATION: Yate START DATE: Immediate start HOURLY PAY: £13.84 per hour PERMANENT WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:00 and Friday 07:30-13:00 Yate Office: 01454 310031 E: F: 0870 4007865 Vacancy – Engineering Inspector ESS Employment are seeking a candidate to maintain and monitor the day-to-day quality assurance and quality control activities of the inspection department for one of our successful aerospace clients. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Inspector and be able to provide feedback to Senior Management whilst proactively developing the quality system to improve performance. Quality Control and Assurance duties will include the following: • Verify traceability of components is maintained throughout all manufacturing and inspection operations • Monitor route records to verify operations are completed sequentially and signed appropriately • Monitor quality-related shop floor activities • Record returned and re-worked items on non-conformances • Visually inspect components predominantly on site but possibly throughout the UK in response to customer maintenance programmes • Perform final inspection on items leaving the factory, including completion and verification of route record operations • Ensure Company quality systems are adhered to always • Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining Quality Systems • Identifying trends in non-conformances and performing audits and supplier assessments • Preparation and review of Non-Conformance Reports • Maintain calibration records • Collate certificates and reports for documentation packages • Liaise with outside inspectors and auditors • Create quality instructions The suitable candidate will possess the following skillset: • Understanding of engineering production requirements to achieve output • Ability to liaise with production team to achieve customers’ demands • CMM and Faro arm experience essential • Experience in Aberlink and Tutor software an advantage • Experience of IFS (ERP) or similar essential • Non-conformance reports/actioning • Use of manual measuring equipment • Working to ISO9001:2015 • Computer literate • Understanding of FMEA and PFMEA where required • Understanding of Gauge R & R • Understanding of SABRe standard an advantage In order to be considered for the role please email your cv at your earliest convenience to Jamie Robbins - ESS EMPLOYMENT Ltd work with clients and candidates from a range of disciplines and place people in permanent, contract and temporary roles.
