LOCATION: STROUD HOURS: 39 Hours per week Early Shift – Mon - Thur - 05.30 -14.00 (Friday - Early shift - 05.30 - 13.00) Late Shift – Mon - Thur - 13.45 - 22.15 (Friday - Late shift - 12.45 - 20.15) START DATE: Immediate PAY: £30,000pa plus 25% shift allowance (£37,500pa including Shift Allowance) TEMP OR PERM: Permanent Job Job: Shift Maintenance Engineer Role Purpose: To support the efficient and smooth running of all site processes through planned preventative maintenance, fault identification and innovative, pragmatic solutions, and a focus on continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: 1. Respond quickly and efficiently to breakdowns within the plant, ensuring any down time is minimal, and implementing appropriate, cost effective solutions; 2. Carry out PPM on all aspects of the site; 3. Participate in the expansion of existing, and installation of new, machinery; 4. Understand all elements of production and provide cover in a variety of roles as required to ensure the smooth running of the site; 5. Identify potential weaknesses in equipment and processes and recommend solutions. Experience required: Essential 1. Hands on experience in day to day Engineering environment. 2. Apprenticeship served within maintenance engineering in food or drink manufacturing 3. Good workshop skills (TIG welding would be advantageous) 4. Competent with pneumatic systems, inverter drives and electrical systems up to 415V 5. Confident in use of all MS Office packages 6. Strong working knowledge of and commitment to workplace health and safety 7. Demonstrable track record in fault finding and problem solving. Desirable 1. Competent in 17th edition wiring regulations 2. Experience of PLC’s, consistent with basic programming skills, and ability to design simple control systems incorporating PLC units Personal Attributes: 1.
